Description
Endothelin-1, human — 0.5 mg, ≥98 % HPLC — research overview
Endothelin-1 is the most potent endogenous vasoconstrictor known and the principal endothelin isoform expressed by vascular endothelium. It is a standard ligand for ETA/ETB receptor research and a reference compound in pulmonary-hypertension and endothelial-dysfunction models.
Peptide Shop supplies Endothelin-1 (1 × 0.5 mg vial) as a sealed research material with lot-level documentation. This product is supplied for in-vitro laboratory research only and is not intended for human use, veterinary use, therapy, diagnosis, cosmetic application or consumption.
Research applications
- ETA / ETB receptor binding, activation and antagonist screening
- Vasoconstriction and isolated-vessel pharmacology
- Pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) research models
- Cardiac hypertrophy and remodelling research
Sequence and analytical data
Two intramolecular disulfide bridges (Cys1-Cys15, Cys3-Cys11) confirmed by reductive HPLC and ESI-MS. The folded form is required for receptor activity.
Storage and handling
Store lyophilised at -20 °C protected from light. Reconstitute in 0.1% acetic acid; aliquot and store at -80 °C.
Documentation
A lot-specific Certificate of Analysis is available in EN, DE, FR and ES from the product detail page after dispatch. The CoA reports HPLC purity, identity confirmation, appearance, and storage and handling guidance for the dispatched lot.
