Description

Myristoylated PKI (14-22) amide — 1 mg, ≥98 % HPLC — research overview

Myristoylated PKI (14-22) amide is the cell-permeable variant of the protein-kinase inhibitor pseudosubstrate, with the N-terminal myristate enabling diffusion across cell membranes for intact-cell PKA inhibition research.

Peptide Shop supplies Myr-PKI (14-22) amide (1 × 1 mg vial) as a sealed research material with lot-level documentation. This product is supplied for in-vitro laboratory research only and is not intended for human use, veterinary use, therapy, diagnosis, cosmetic application or consumption.

Research applications

  • Intact-cell PKA inhibition (typical use 1–25 µM)
  • cAMP / PKA pathway research in primary cells and tissue slices
  • Reference inhibitor in cardiac, neuronal and endocrine signalling research
  • Pseudosubstrate-based kinase research

Sequence and analytical data

N-terminal myristoylation and C-terminal amidation confirmed by ESI-MS. Limited aqueous solubility — DMSO stocks recommended.

Storage and handling

Store lyophilised at -20 °C. DMSO stocks at -80 °C; final assay DMSO ≤0.5%.

Documentation

A lot-specific Certificate of Analysis is available in EN, DE, FR and ES from the product detail page after dispatch. The CoA reports HPLC purity, identity confirmation, appearance, and storage and handling guidance for the dispatched lot.

FAQs

Why myristoylate the peptide?

The N-terminal C14 fatty acid enables passive diffusion across cell membranes, making this variant suitable for intact-cell PKA inhibition research where the unmodified peptide is excluded.

Recommended reconstitution?

DMSO at 1–10 mM, then dilute into culture medium to final concentration with DMSO ≤0.5%.

Is it as selective as PKI (6-22)?

Selectivity is preserved; the truncation to residues 14–22 retains the PKA pseudosubstrate motif.
