Description

Substance P — 5 mg, ≥98 % HPLC — research overview

Substance P is an 11-residue tachykinin neuropeptide that activates the neurokinin-1 (NK1) receptor. It is one of the most extensively cited GPCR agonists in pain, neurogenic-inflammation and CNS research.

Peptide Shop supplies Substance P (1 × 5 mg vial) as a sealed research material with lot-level documentation. This product is supplied for in-vitro laboratory research only and is not intended for human use, veterinary use, therapy, diagnosis, cosmetic application or consumption.

Research applications

  • NK1 receptor binding and activation studies
  • Pain and nociception research models
  • Neurogenic inflammation and mast-cell research
  • Tachykinin-pathway antagonist screening

FAQs

Receptor selectivity?

Substance P is preferred ligand for NK1 (>NK2 >NK3). For NK2-selective research use neurokinin A; for NK3-selective use neurokinin B.

Counterion?

Acetate. TFA-form is available on request for non-bioassay applications.

Suitable for in-vivo research?

This material is supplied for in-vitro research only. RUO.
